35 cl can from Lawsons. Pale yellow color, short white head, hoppy smell. Aroma is citrusy with yeast, spices, earth, hops, a cheesy edge also. Raw malts backing. Taste sourish. Light body, carbonated, short spiced dry finish, but a strange aftertaste persists for a while. Well, it’s weird, maybe i’m not into saisons.

12 oz can from Lawson’s Natural. Pale golden color, ever so slightly hazy. White head with short retention. Aroma’s of fruit, citrus, caramel malt. Retronasal it’s fruity, light sour, carmel malt. Flavor is light bitter, light fruity sour. Light bodied. Moderate bitter finish. Pretty much how I remember the 1980’s Belgian saisons.

Can. Golden colour with a slight haze. Bubbly head. Has a spicy, apricot and grapefruit nose. Medium body and light pale malt character. Hops are fruity, especially orchard fruits, mild bitterness. Nice, easy drinking golden ale. Good session beer.

33cl bottle from Lawson?s, Matsumoto. Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Fairly fruity aroma with notes of bananas, light citrus, some tropical fruits and hints of yeast and malt. Moderate sweet and surprisingly pleasant with a nice bitterness too. Didn’t know what it was, but expected more towards a crappy pale lager. Not exceptional in any way, but decent and quite tasty.

Pours yellow, small head that does not really stand long. Aroma has a bit of saison rustic feel, some guava and a bit of soft-sweet glow is filling the nostrils. Taste is light, has a bit of light spices, farm ale feeling but still very clean. I like tougher saison better but I guess this one can be OK on a hot summer day, it is definitely refreshing.

Can from Lawson in Asagaya. Drank straight from the can. Slight barnyard aroma and some yeast on the nose. Medium body with average to soft carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Tastes of peach, pineapple, yeast and a hint of citrus rind as well. Solid finish. Really not bad for a conbini beer I must say....and a saison on top of that. --- Beer merged from original tick of Boku Beer, Kimi Beer. (僕ビール、君ビール。) on 15 Jun 2015 at 08:54 - Score: 6

5% Can from Lawsons, served in a tulip glass. It has a fairly clear light gold with a soapy looking white head. Fruity, mildly funky saison aroma that highlights freshly mown grass and cracker malts but it does have some butteriness hiding in the nose as well. Fairly light bodied, I get some stinky cheese, fruits, toejam, dry finish, some funk a bit of spice and just a bit of butter mixed into the dry green bitter hoppy finish. On the low end of the saison scale but not so bad for all that. I think the main issue is it lacks focus, the aroma and flavor are all over the place but the look and mouthfeel are fine.

Can from Lawson. Bright gold, clear, low head. Very lemony nose at first is quite nice, with Belgian yeast, light malt. As it warms, biscuits and diacetyl come in to kind of ruin it. Lemony, bready, spicy yeast and nice bitterness. Cold be a bit cleaner, as I get a touch of butter. Not a bad beer at all for the conbini. A little more lagering would make it better.
