10/12/12/10/12/11

Obtained in a trade with SinH4. BBF 12/2017. 330 ml. bottle. Very dark brown to black, mocha head. Nose is sour cherry syrup, sour chocolate, sour Black Forest cake big vineous, puckering red wine, chocolate truffles. Lively carbonation. Very low balsamic vinegar, body bit thinned out, age probably more sour than nose, balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar with puckering sour cherries, acidic Black Forest cake, touch too sour maybe, vinegar oak & faint roast. Quite interesting & tasty, bit too puckering but good stuff for sure maybe a bit better fresh but I doubt that it went more sour with age.

330ml bottle from trade. Expected a pink cherry sour, so a surprise to see this pouring a deep russet brown! Aroma has light flanders vinegar like qualities, coming to fruition on the palate with a biting sour tang. Cherries seem a little low in the mix, but do add some welcome berry shades to a moderately sweet vinous character. Some faint earthy moments. Very decent, flavoursome dark sour.
