Jet black, quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma of Cinnamon, ripe fruit, and sweet malt. Flavour is full of sweetness, and a touch of smoke, a little bit of booze, but nothing i would consider a draw back. Mouthfell is velvet, this goes down so nice! excellent porter!

Dark brown color with small head. A lot of dark malts, and light liquorice feeling; good body strength, a bit of alcohol; moderately sweet; some stale feeling too; it reminds me of South German dunkels, but bolder.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a big, beautiful, creamy, light brown head. Scents include ripe fruit, cocoa, roasted malts and caramel. First swig was creamy and sweet with flavours of caramel and roasted malt being the most predominant. Finish is thick, sweet and roasty with malt flavours lingering.

Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aroma is like a dry stout, leading one to believe it is a dry stout. Full malty flavour, creamy body. Malt finish. Does not taste as strong as it is.

341mL bottle, pours black with a tan head. Roasty aroma with subtle chocolate and espresso flavours. Flavour is very well-balanced, with roasted malt, light coffee roast and some velvety chocolate undertone. Unusually great for Okanagan Spring.

This was my first introduction to porters and is still a very good one. Nice dark coffee taste with aromas of burnt barley, but still very drinkable, and also nice and thick! A surprisingly good porter in spite of it being brewed halfway across the world.

Bottle from Kappldav123, brewed under license by Gambrinus Nagold. Best before august 1991, so almost 20 years old! Deep dark brown color. Still a small head and carbonation left. Sherry aroma with dark chocolate and grapes. Flavor has thinned considerably, but still has creamy chocolate, grapes, the last remains of roast, dust, sherry and strawberry. Has matured way better as expected. Past its peak, obviously, but carries the years gracefully.

Bottle courtesy of mgermani: Poured a clear black color porter with a huge light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry coffee with some black chocolate is lighter then I was expecting. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some black chocolate notes with some more subtle traces of dry coffee. Body is just way too thin for the style, which was a big letdown but great carbonation and no apparent alcohol were enjoyed. At the end of the day thought, this beer has not enough of a full body for the style and could use some more character.

Dark brown, no head. Lightbodied molassis taste and aroma. Somewhat boring porter.
