Cask at the Pembury Tavern, Hackney, during the February Festival 2011. Pours Pours clear brown with a small, foamy off-white head. Woody nose with hints of ripe fruit. Plenty of nutty notes in the flavour, with more wood, nips of brown sugar. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Toasty malt finish, lightly drying, more nuts. Not quite sweet enough in terms of balance. Decent overall.

[Cask at the Three Crowns, Chippenham] Deep copper, moderate yellow head, no fizz. Smooth as you like. Vanilla dominates - unlike most raters on here I like a bit of vanilla in a beer, so this was good for me!. Some toffee, a bit of wardrobe, and a slight dusty bitterness to finish. Decent.

Cask handpull at Pembury Tavern. Deep chestnut. Lasting grey beige head. Dry malt aroma. Decent premium best bitter with decent dry brown malts. Tasty enough and pretty drinkable

Cask in Sheffield, after the Grand Tasting. Brown color. Caramel aroma. Malty sweet flavor with grapes and caramel. Hint of dust. Uninteresting.
