Clear pale golden colour, small frothy white head, some lacing. Malty, earthy aroma, cereals, hay. Lght sweet taste, hint of bitterness, light bodied, watery texture, crisp dry finish

Can on the Metro North train into NYC. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Crispy cereal aroma with hints of hay. Light sweet flavor with moderate sugary cereal, slight grains, hay, bread. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Fairly crisp to finish, bread and cereal. Sweet and simple. OK.

I thought at first this was the South African Carling, but this is the Canadian version. Pale gold pour. Faint aroma, adjunct and grass. Faint beer-like flavour. No finish. Blech

Une bière peu attrayantes. Saveurs inintéressantes, arômes inexistants. Arrière-goût plutôt mauvais.

Draught in Liverpool. I forgot how bad this beer is. Bland, coloured water with nothing going for it

Originally rated August 2005. This one is brewed by Molson in Canada, and has 5% ABV. It pours a golden colour with a medium white head. Retention for a plain swill is awesome. A coating even stays a while and creates nice lacing. Nose is full, with grain malt and bitter hop. The mouth has the same grain malt, some grass and some corn also found in the aftertaste. Nice hoppy taste in the beginning. Great cheap beer, also found in Quebec stores (Petro Canada stations) for dirt cheap. Today’s notes: Still a decent cheap swill nowadays, but lighter with the hop. Still, nice head and good creamy mouthfeel.

Boring bright gold body, really weak and foamy head. Faint aroma of cardboard. Taste is mostly rice adjuncts with a wet finish. It’s hard to pick this out from all the other macro lagers out there, as it doesn’t have one single redeeming quality.

Actually brewed at Miller, Milwaukee, USA Huge fine head; fully clear pale metallic golden beer. Very grainy nose. And a strange, medicinal or dried herbal note. Not bad, boring. Starts as water, gets a metallic tang, dull-grainy dimension, then reverts to water. Metallic palate, ultra-light body. What gave American beer a bad name... Thanks, I suppose, David A, but do I detect a little sadistic streak?
