FRUITY, REFRESHING TASTE

This fresh, hop forward, fruity pale ale is a refreshing beer with a moreish bitterness and lasting hop character. Brewed exclusively for us by the family owned brewery, Hall & Woodhouse, in Dorset, using Mosaic hops.

Best served lightly chilled. Perfect with street-style foods such as dirty fries and Cajun chicken burger or spicy foods.

Sainsbury's Own, Night In Trio Of Ales#1. The lightest of my three choices tonight and it's a good hoppy session to start. Slightly darker golden it has an easy, smoothish slick texture. Its hop is perhaps not at its most fruitiest in this instance, and a more dominant light-bitterness exists, but this is flavoursome enough, with a modicum of citrus in its background.

Dissipating off white head on an amber coloured body.
Grain & burnt newspaper aroma.
Medium bodied, gassy with a smoother cloying back.
Malt, biscuit, grain, earthy & berry tastes with a limp finish.

[50cl bottle from my local Sainsbury’s.] An amber pour with a close white head and; herbal aroma with a touch of citrus; similar taste, a herbal bitterness and some lemon juice; then a thin malty finish with a little sweetness; and a bittersweet aftertaste.
