Pours a clear, slightly darker blonde. Surprisingly slow rising, stable white head. Scent is typical cantullon funk. Slightly more woody perhaps than the regular OG, touch more pronounced and only a slight whiff of what seems to be cognac. Taste is full, at the very first hit, the barrels deliver their aroma's, even a touch of seemingly sweet character. Refined aroma from the cognac, more gentle persuasive 'sweet' touch from the rum. Obviously the lambic isnt overpowered, and is still acidic, funky, woody, typical cantillon. Outspokenly mineral. Is it just me, or do the 50n 4e's get better and better ? Wasnt a big fan of the series before but it's riging up the ranks when they do stuff like this !

750ml (thx, Robert S.!). Pre-MBCC 2025 tasting with Chris, Farees, and Shane.
Nice funk and some nice oak. Taste is along the same lines. Acidity is a bit higher than usual for Cantillon, but iy's still quite approachable.
Good one!

Lots of rum notes from the barrel, Cognac is there, but less dominant, clean Cantillon funk, acidic tartness, moreish
