22/XI/25 - 33cl bottle, shared @ Struise cheese pairing event (Gent), BB: 7/VI/28, bottled: 7/VI/23, lot n°: 20230020, “2021 vintage” (2025-1325)
Cheese pairing: Chimay trappist cheese, green packaging (Belgium)
Clear deep purple brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, caramel, ripe banana, dried fruits, little nutty, good stuff going on here, love it! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, ripe banana, a bit yeasty, alcohol, lots of chocolate, caramel, alcohol. Aftertaste: gentle bitterness, a bit yeasty, some banana, bitter, dried fruits, pretty dry, spicy, dark chocolate, nice one! Didn’t get much bourbon or vanilla though?

Clear brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of vanilla, wood, red apple, banana, raisin, bourbon. Taste has sweet raisin, apple & banana in a milk-chocolatey, brown-bready, slightly nutty malt body. Bitter earthy hops in the finish, lingering dried fruits, some spices and warming bourbon alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Tasty sipper with subtle complexity.

(2021-es palackozás) Pici, azonnal elolvadó hab, sötétbarna szín. Intenzív karamelles, aszalt meggyes, aszalt szilvás, csokis, hordós illat. Karamelles, aszalt gyümölcsös, malátás, whiskey-s, hordós ízek. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Finom.

Something was off with this, sadly. I had a 9-year-old vintage a couple years ago and it was brilliant. This is quite muddled. Didn't finish it.

Ega täpselt aru ei saa struise vintaažidest, et enda arvates olin seda enne joonud, kuid siin selgelt kirjas vintage 2021 (see on pudeldatud 2024, eelmine 2021)... Magus, linnaseline, väike vanilje, karamell, mahe, Belgia pärm. Ok.
