Marrón cobrizo, sin espuma. Aroma suave pero atractivo con notas de malta, fruta seca, caramelo, levadura...ya en su atemperado más tardío deja salir notas de vainilla y bizcocho. En boca es maltosa, cálida, plena, licorosa, poco carbonatada, punto de dulzor justo, final amargo y seco, notas de malta, fruta pasificada, bourbon, regaliz...Una cerveza que por su estética y procedencia genera mucho "hype", mas de algún modo tengo la sensación con ella de que deja algo que desear, es decir, es buena pero no llega a impresionar en ningúno de sus aspecto. No obstante y todo es digna de estudio y disfrute, al menos una vez en la vida.

Donker roodbruin bier met schuim wat snel wegzakt. Smaak is krachtig warm en fruitig met iets van pruimen, wat karamel, kandij en bramen. Erg goed.

(2021-es palackozás) Pici, azonnal elolvadó hab, sötétbarna szín. Intenzív karamelles, aszalt meggyes, aszalt szilvás, csokis, hordós illat. Karamelles, aszalt gyümölcsös, malátás, whiskey-s, hordós ízek. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Finom.

Bottle pour at Beerlovers. Pours opaque dark brown with a light beige head. Raisins and other dried dark fruits on the nose. Flavour has tons of raisins and craisins, nice hints of bourbon barrel. Well-integrated, solid quad. It's incredible how well-restrained the Belgian yeast is. If East Van tackles this recipe I'll die a happy man.

Bottle at home, koszi Kini! Pours copper with a quickly disappearing beige head. Nose is strong bourbon and booze in general, also dried fruits, esters and light nuts. Taste is sweet, showing bourbon, dried fruits, nuts, and quite a lot of booze in the finish, it actually becomes too much. Light to medium body with average carbonation.

2012 vintage. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel toffee, yeast, chocolate, candy sugar, a touch of barrel. Flavour is dark fruity sweetness, brown sugar. Really wonderful and complex, very quaffable despite the high ABV. Can’t wait to try some older vintages...

Аромат весьма типичен для квадрюпеля, но не глубокий и чересчур слабый. Цвет благородно-сложный, пена отсутствует. При глотке глубины вкуса особо не ощущается. Из за алкоголя,первые впечатление не совсем приятные. Но пиво действительно раскрывается в послевкусие. Имеется четкое присутствие темных фруктов по началу и сухофруктов и капли карамели в конце. В который раз убеждаюсь что лучшее послевкусие из всех сортов у квадрюпелей.

33cl bottle, 2020 vintage, from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark reddish/purple, with no foam. Aroma is liquor, molasses, some chocolate. Body is dense, sticky, with little carbonation. Taste is definitely sweet, though with some roasty and toasty notes. Final is long, sweet.
