Impressive stuff. Great barrel character, good dark fruits, bourbon, mellow cocoa, sturdy roast, raisins, fudge, burnt toffee. Moderate warmth, gooey chocolate, dark fruits, berries. Excellent.

Brewery draught, 1/18/24. Batch #6. Dark. Dark tan head quickly to ring. Really nicely expressive nose of both bourbon and base malt. Not over-roasted and not excessively tannic, not boozey. Don't get as much port, but that's fine with me. Deep chocolate, vanilla, black pepper and rounded liquor. Juicy almost, with soft, fudgey chocolate and a fluffy texture. Raisins, dates, vanilla and balancing bourbon. The whiskey dries as the chocolate and date sweetens. Full body, short of syrupy, but never loose/thin. Lovely.
