Description
Following a meeting with another player in the sector, the idea of opening a microbrewery matured in the mind of Xavier Michaux.
The choice of location for the microbrewery was relatively easy. Being himself a native of the Gedinne region, it was obvious that he wanted to develop the activity of his village.
The ambitious Brasserie Station 16 project is stimulated by several motivations:
The first is the desire to offer a new activity in this village, which once represented the economic heart of the region.
Then comes a family side to this adventure and the desire to bring old industrial buildings back to life. Indeed, the latter were formerly used for the repair of trucks and the site itself also included the drilling company of Xavier's father. Their renovation will make it possible to accommodate the microbrewery as well as a tasting area conducive to beautiful encounters.
Finally, we want to develop the local and artisanal side of the region. The world is constantly changing and this style of consumption is becoming predominant. It is therefore essential for the brewery to be part of this process of evolution.
