The pour is slight hazed amber, copper, brown with a one inch light tan head that falls quickly with nice lace. The aroma is sweet Bourbon, wood, hint of vanilla, and toffee malt. The taste is the barrel character of bright alcohol Bourbon and oak wood, turning towards more traditional Oktoberfest notes of toffee malt, and earthy grass. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, evident alcohol heat and lingering maltiness. Solid.

The aroma is cocoa, dark chocolate, malt syrup sweet and the faintest whiff of licorice. The taste is the full caramel, syrup sweet malt, followed by the cocoa and dark chocolate flavors. The chocolate is natural and well integrated. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and the sweet finish lingers with the tasty cocoa. Well executed.

The taste is the caramel malt, citrus peel bitterness, floral, dry grass and warming alcohol to the back. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and the lingering sweet bitter warming alcohol finish. Decently balanced Old School Double IPA.
