Draft. Rich amber-brown beer with a small off-white head. Caramel, dark fruit, and alcohol aroma. Caramel, alcohol, brown sugar, and light fruit flavor. Medium-plus body. Alcohol lingers with caramel malt and a light sugariness. Have to be in a mood for noticeable alcohol.

Draft at WCBF 2008. Light caramel aroma. Amber color with an off-white head. Medium body with mild carbonation. Caramel flavor, balanced by floral hop. It’s better than many ambers. Finishes dryish. Bitter builds. Very good.

12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose of sweet grain and honey with some flowery hops; yellow gold with a medium white head; flavor is sweet with some lemon and a very mild amount of hop bitterness which shows up slowly as the other flavors fade. Drinkable on a hot day such as the 91F it is now!

12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose of light chocolate, roastiness, nutiness, and a light vanilla note; clear very dark brown with rouge edges and a small beige head; flavor has chocolate, coffee, and some very light hop bitterness. Not too bad for a local brew!

12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose is yeast, light spices and graininess; cloudy bright-pale yellow with a big yellow-tinged head; flavor of yeast, citrus, an unsual spiciness I cannot name or quite place, finish is a faint tart note. Quite enjoyable actually!

Bottle. Black in color with ruby glints. Decent tan head. Thin to medium body with soft, voluminous carbonation. It tastes toasted. More sweet than bitter. Something porter like with coffee and chocolate. There’s some hop, so the finish is roughly balanced. It is not all that sweet, and the finish is reasonably dry. Perhaps too tasty for the style, but it is a very good lager.

Slightly sour citrus aroma with cardamom and other spice? Hazy gold color with lots of bubbles and a persistent white head. Near medium body with creamy/fizzy carbonation. The flavor is citrus, pale malt and some spice. The finish turns a bit flat in comparison, but has some citrus and some bitter. It’s a pretty tasty wit.
