22 oz. bottle, shared by Albert. Pours a clear gold color, with a small, off-white head. Nose is caramel, mellow pine, apricot, orange peel, and cloves. Sweet and grainy, with a mild and surprisingly easy bitterness. Medium body, lightly acidic, oily, and sharp. This is a sharp and nicely bitter IPA. A little thin and astringent.

Taster at the brewery - boozy, syrupy motherfucker - tastes like liquified Welches grape jelly and Hersey syrup mixed with vodka - I refuse to write a longer review.

Tulip at the brewery - black pour - nose of raisin, bakers chocolate, smoke - flavors of abrasive roast and alcohol make the more pleasant notes of smoke, leather, coffee, and chocolate harder to enjoy, resulting in a not unenjoyable, but middle of the road American imperial stout.

Taster at the brewery - hazy orange - nose and flavor of sweetened citrus fruits, followed by a very boozy finish - some melon rind - quite sweet, hot - meh.

Tulip at the brewery - clear purplish red - nose of toffee, plum, and treacle - creamy texture - flavors of caramelized sugars, light dark fruit, moderate Belgian yeast spiciness and cobweb character - alcohol gives a little heat in the finish, but not boozy - overall not terribly complex and kind of sugary/cloying, but okay.

Tulip at the brewery - hmm, they’ve done a fair job capturing at least some of the character of a s’more, specifically milk chocolate and the charred bits around the edges of the marshmallow - tastes a lot like a Hershey bar or Hershey’s syrup - a sharp acidity through the middle - finishing roast and char - kinda harsh and abrasive in the mouth, actually - eh.

Pint at the brewery - medium gold with a slight haze to it - nose of straw, grain husks, light pepper - flavor is medium dry, with a slightly unclean malt character, moderate mineral, slight pepper, and mild tropical esters - somewhat watery texture - overall kinda meh.

Pint at the brewery - clear gold with a frothy lace - nose of crackers malt, pepper, straw, wheat - soft carbonation and texture - flavor is fairly dry, moderately crisp - crackery malt, moderate to strong spicy phenolics (pepper), some dusty yeast character, touches of wheat, a bit of ginger on the tail end - fairly well done.

Tulip at the brewery - deep black with a soapy tan lace - nose is rich dark chocolate, mild natural earthy cherry, espresso, truffles, cherry cordials - carbonation is a little fizzy, leading to a less than ideal texture, but the flavor is pretty on point - fairly sweet, but with excellent balancing bitterness and acidity - flavors of dark chocolate truffle, cherry pie filling, chocolate covered espresso beans, cherry skins - very tasty and balanced for the strength, with no evident alcohol - very nice.

Tulip at the brewery - light hazy light orange - the bright tropical notes in the nose from the hops is complimented well by funky pineapple brett notes - full texture - flavor is bitter, intensely herbal and grassy, peppery - strong and complex hop presence - Brett is less prominent in the flavor than the nose, but adds a subtle tropical character and just the slightest bit of funk - a touch of coconut on the tail end - this is hoppy Brett beer done well.
