Pour is a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is sugary sweet malt maybe a little gingerbread. Flavor is bland sweet malts, no hop presence and a little plastic toward the end. Very watery and bland.

Bottle: Deep brown pour with a huge, fluffy tan head. Malty, nutty, and light roasted malt aroma. Kinda toastlike. Creamy mouthful with light roast and moderately bittersweet in the trailer. Finishes a little dry.

This beer pours a brownish-amber color with a thin tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of earthy malt, caramel and floral hops. The finish is malty with a sweet aftertaste lingering. Slightly above average overall.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 10/14/2011. The beer is a pale orange-gold color with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Short strings of lacing. Sweet honey malt aroma with a touch of hops in the background. Light body with flavors of grassy hops and sweet malt. Any rye spice is very faint. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Just average overall.

12oz bottle. Murky amber-brown. Thin off-white head. Sweet, woody brown malt aroma. I didnβt pick it up on my first bottle, but after I had the infected Amber I pick up some odd underlying sourness in this one too. Not really bad still, this is a pleasant, malty, session beer, probably much better at the brewery. A little one-dimensional and watery, not what youβd hope for in a 7% Scotch Ale of any sort. A generous 3.

12oz bottle. Hazy, unfiltered amber-tan. Big, foamy head. Odd soured aroma, some fruity amber malt nuances. Some sourish notes up front give the impression that the beer is infected. Still not an unenjoyable beer, the sourness gives it some zesty life...well maybe too much. Really overshadows any malt or hop attributes. One dimensional in itβs infection. Another off beer from Jenifer Street market.

12oz Bottle Thanks to Toby. Pours out a crisp clear copper topped with a long lasting sand head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, hop juice, and a little grain. Taste is more of the sweetness and a little bitter grapefruit peal on the end.
