Draft at GT. Yellowed-tan, thick off-white head. Medium bodied, some nice easy yeast tones. Somewhat watery but that works with the style. Classic noble hops..maybe a summer Hellerbock. Simple, subtle, subdued. Some graininess, lemony. Not mind blowing, but a solid brew.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance very cloudy slightly dark gold with no head, like a juice. Aroma nothing really there. Taste goes down very crisp, light hay, bit of noticeable hops, really good for the style. Very good.

Appearance a pronounced brown with lighter tone towards the base of the glass and a thn but frothy off white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is unique, kind of weird, molasses and nuts which I can’t say go very well together. Taste is a little better, I think the molasses subsides and the maltier elements come out a bit more. I’m surprised they call it a porter, doesn’t have those elements. Not my fav.

Aroma of citrus hops, could be amarillo, has a unique quality, smells light but pronounced. Taste is really good, smooth with light bitterness, nice and balanced but tips more towards the citrusy hops. Good stuff.

Taste also seems subdued, more malty than hoppy, its OK. Thought it was supposed to be more of a red ale than an amber ale, still not very good.

Taste is definitely fruity, pear comes out a little bit more, ale yeast also adds the fruitiness. Pretty impressed with this one, like a standard Weiss but with more Belgian attributes.

Aroma is nice, distinct nuttiness, bitterness from coffee, light roasted chocolate malt, bit of lactose. Taste is good, finishes dry/bitter from the coffee, includes all of the aforementioned aroma elements. Strong, standard stout.

Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, slight bitterness. Taste is really good, strong chocolate and coffee notes with a light burn. Really good, definitely malty and bitter, nicely done.
