The 22oz bomber pours with a clear copper to gold body that supports an off white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up a good bit of citrus to mango fruity hoppiness and then a firm onion like dank spicy hoppiness. Nice. The taste delivers both juicy citrus to mango fruity hoppiness as well as spicy and hop bitterness. I’m really liking this. It’s grapefruit, tangerine, mango, lime and a bit of pine hops leading straight into firm spicy onion hop dankness and then lesser amounts of earthy tea. This particular bottle is showing some age but it is really hitting the spot right. I’d love to try this fresh.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark reddish brown in color and with a small, dense, beige head leaving some lacings. The aroma is hop-dominated, piney and citrusy, with a resiny touch and some caramel maltyness. It’s quite bitter on the palate, with almost enough caramel maltyness to deal with it. Not much sweetness, quite a lot of pine cones and resins. Some alcohol warmth. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting bitter and resiny finish. Quite nice this one, but a bit too heavy on the alcohol. 141219

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber gold with a beige/white head. Aroma is almost grape. Med + body. Flavor is dank mixed hop, significant malt, but the incredible amount of hop solves that. Finishes very hoppy and nicely bitter.
