Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is interesting with a candy/Jolly Rancher character. Light cherry notes, faint malt and light acidity. A touch of stone fruit and tropical fruit. A bit medicinal and similar to a Luden’s Wild Cherry throat lozenge. Pours a cloudy orange with a touch of pink and a small, thin white head that quickly disappears. No lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with faint acidity. Holy diacetyl Batman! I can’t believe Steve would release this crap. Light cherry character with faint malt notes. This is straight diacetyl and really disappointing. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, the flavor of this beer is dominated by butters popcorn. Aroma is not as bad, but the flavor is really bad. Really faint cherry and wine barrel character. A disappointing beer from a brewer that I used to respect. EDIT: After reading the other reviews it sounds like there may be some bottle variation. Lots of reviews on Untappd also mention a strong diacetyl presence.

Bomber from CraftShack. It’s sort of copper garnet against a strong light. Foamy beige head. Aroma of pine and somewhat roasty malt. Med body or better. Flavor is malty roasty with a good dose of hop that seems pine. It’s not really dry, but there’s enough bitter to deal with that.

Bottle. Pours deep clear reddish mahogany, medium creamy tan head, great lacing. Aroma is chocolate, bit of ashtray, roasted malts. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, rich and creamy with cocoa, light burned notes, perhaps a touch of lactose. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This is good.

Bottle. Surprised I am the first rater for this, but here goes! Pours crystal clear ruby amber, really beautiful, actually, with a medium creamy tan head that slowly dissipates leaving nice lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, grapefruit, toffee. Flavor is the same, pine/spruce hops blending with a caramel toffee malt base to result in something medium sweet and medium bitter with a lingering bitter finish. Lots of tree sap going on here. Medium body, but a very oily smooth mouthfeel. Opened up as it warmed and really became quite nice. A solid beer for sure.

Bottle shared at The Bruery. Pours clear gold with a white foam head. The nose has dry pine, orange rind. Medium sweet with dirty pine bitterness, more citrus rind, moderately sugary toasty pale malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with further pine notes, dried citrus rind. OK stuff overall.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Citrus and pine aroma. Hazy golden orange with white head hat is fleeting. Leaves lacing. Orange and earth. Resinous. Moderate bitterness.

Pours dark brown with a little bit of ruby to it. Appears to have little cloudiness but it’s hard to tell with the fairly dark color. Big khaki head. Lots of fine bubbles. Good retention with some lacing. The aroma is big on chocolate and caramel. It’s a nice mix of milk chocolate, cocoa and gooey caramel. The taste isn’t as sweet as I expected from the aroma. Lots of chocolate but it’s pretty dry. There’s a roast, coffee flavor. Mild caramel. A touch of herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Despite the dryness, the mouthfeel is fairly creamy. Nice fullness to the beer. I’m not blown away, but this is a solid porter.
