Bottle from the brewery via Furusato Nozei. Super cloudy orange-pink-amber color with lace. Looks like a dark nigorizake. Spicy nose of ginger, yuzu, creamy rice, biscuits, lilies and narcissus and other flowers. Very stragne flavor, mostly yuzu, somewhat flowery, creamy but not at all sake-like, except in the body, which is creamy and smooth like a "bihappo usunigori." Light carbonation also fits that. A strange, interesting, totally unique beer. I would suggest adding koji to make it more sake like, and being careful with the yuzu, as it tastes rather pithy and a bit too astringent.

Tap at iBREW Shinbashi. Dark red or brownish red pour. Some nice foam on top leaving good lacings. Nose is nice spicy and hoppy, good malty character but also a hint of citrus. Taste is hoppy and citric, malty and spicy base there but blends well and leaves nice fresh imperssion. Good balance and good happiness, well made red IPA, definitely enjoyable. Good stuff.

Dark reddish brown color. Reddish hued head. Nice hoppy fruity nose with dried friuit and caramel underneath. Medium full body. Nice dried strawberry character goes well with citrus character from hops. Prickly hops hit across the mouth. Full body than I was expecting. Decent.

Tap at Molto. Beautiful orange-red-amber, clear, with a low, tan head. Malty, minty nose, caramel, bread, pine. Lightly resiny and herbal flavor, caramel, burnt toffee, brown sugar, raisins. Smooth and full. A strange one. These Ibuki hops this year are almost worthless. This is a big brown sugar bomb, and interesting, though 1 is enough.

Can from a supermarket. Pours reddish brown, at first lots of cream beige, off-white foam but that level gets lower as time goes by. Nose is bready, rye bread there, some light citrus and rowan berries. taste is bready as well, caramel character there with some relatively mildly bitter but quite grassy hops. Dry and medium bitter aftertaste. Decent food beer, reasonably hoppy and characterful but not too much so.

I'm liking reds more and more. Makes sense, as I've always loved redheads.
