Super clear golden coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall pure white head that fades relatively quickly and just leaves a super thin pure white head on top. Aroma of crisp grain with a light dose of citrus and flowers along with some light sweetness and a touch of cleanser noticeable, but the crisp malts and lighter yeast notes are noticeable. Light-bodied; Very strong and super crisp grassy notes show through, along with some yeast, bread and light lemon flavours show through without much else, aside from a crisp and biting finish. Aftertaste shows the very malty, grainy and herbal notes with some yeast and breadiness and finishes with a dry and quite bitter metallic and citrusey set of flavours, but still, relatively mild and light throughout. Overall, a decent enough helles with some crisp lager yeast, dry flowers and a soft grainy profile throughout. Not a great beer, but not a horrible beer either - somewhere closer to the middle. I sampled this 50 cL can, from Day #15 of the Costco 2020 Advent Calendar, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-December-2020.

Pretty crisp, and nice overall. Good grain, easy drinking. Like the note of sharp bitterness. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Crisp bitter end. Very nice stuff. Can.

Half liter can, 12/15/20, #15 of the Costco Advent calendar. Hazy gold, thin fizzy off-white head, poor retention. Aroma of grain, earth. Taste is bready malt, caramel, apple. Thin. Meh. Maybe I got a bad can.

Day 15 of the CostCo Advent box. Pours clear, bright gold with a creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma is bready with moderate spice notes. Approaching med body. Flavor is bready with enough grass/spice to provide satisfying bitterness. Must be many beers just like this, but it tastes good, which is what counts. Uniqueness isn't everything.

Some grain, but this isn't quite as nice as the last marzen I had on this calendar. Pours golden with fluffy white head. Some lime, lots of cloying aftertaste. Can from day 10, advent calender.

500 ml can purchased as part of the 2020 Costco Advent Calendar at the Costco in Overland Park, Kansas. Exp 2022/05 printed on the bottom of the can. The pour is a clear copper golden with a 1/2 inch white foamy head that falls quickish. The aroma is metallic, straw, grass and some soft citrus. The taste is herbal malt, the grass and straw, some mild citrus and then cereal grain to the back. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and the metallic vaguely there as it warms with the grain in the finish.
