16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thanks Tom. Flavor is orange marmalade a little bit of generic apricot. Pretty multi. Does show some astringent herbal like bitterness in the finish. Light hints of fruit cup. Alcohols only lightly noticed.
Thanks Tom aroma is chocolate, caramel, and anise. Taste follows, nice mouthfeel with roasted chocolate, light ash.

Can from the brewery. Opaque, inky black with creamy Bailey's-looking head and nice lacing. Aroma is molasses, roasted malt and toffee. Taste is stronger version of aroma. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied, average carbonation and finish as taste. I think it's been a while since I've had a non-adjunct imperial stout. Even longer since I've had one this good. First rate!

Can pour from the brewery. Opaque black, light sparkle, decent head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is leathery, earthy malt, milk chocolate and orange. Taste is strong orange, leathery/earthy malt with anise, late chocolate. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and crisp, dry, somewhat smoky finish with mild bitterness. The qualities of the base malt don't play seamlessly with the chocolate and orange, particularly the anise quality I get in the flavor. Still decent but something just slightly off from working brilliantly.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. From the brewery. Aroma has bold orange peel and chocolate malts. Flavor follows with a really good mouth feel for a porter. The orange plays well with the chocolate nuances. Similar to the chocolate orange you’ll find around the holiday season.

The Shakespeare, NYC tap: pours light orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit mostly, and some bread or something like that. Taste is lightly bitter. Moderate fruitiness. Not too much sweetness. Easy drinking session. Not bad.

On tap @ Blind Tiger. Quite cloudy this, almost a little murky. Copper brown? in color and a nice lacing dense off-white head on the top. Like the aroma. It's mild but pleasant fruity. Somewhat malt basen and a little sweet. Traces of chocolate and biscuits. In the mouth it's light and oily while the bubbles are just above average and big. At first there's a mild diacetyl thing going on. Chocolate wrapper and cocoa traces. Not at all what I was expecting when I ordered this. Really mineralish and dry also. Not a huge favorite actually and a bit off as well. 16.06.2015

Draught @ Ginger Man. Slightly cloudy bright orange with medium sized off-white foamy head, faint doughy aroma, high carbonation, slightly sour taste with faint vanilla flavor, longish finish with vanilla aftertaste. Easy to drink, refreshing.
