Can for a buck off the clearance rack at JRs. Pour is virtually clear pale and it has a staying white large foamy head. Very little noticeable nose, perhaps a slight clean hop perfume aroma? First taste confirms my distaste for IPA; I knew I wouldn't like it because victory is usually dead on style with their brews. But hey, I'm a beer ticking whoremonger and this cheap tick selection is terribly on style. Appalling dreadful explosive bitterness. Horrific bitter bombshell. Awful bitter projectile exploding in the pie hole. An atrocious bitter bundle. Rototilling incendiary IPA hop bitterness plowing across my taste buds. So, form this, if you like IPA, you really need to seek it out. Its certainly an above average IPA grenade. There, you have it.

Old dusty bottle from 2004. Someone said extra lagering would improve this beer, and after 22 years he says he was about right. Dark, no head. Licorice, soy sauce, some coffee, burned rubber. Soft mouthfeel, creamy. Not too heavy, not too boozy.

Pours a hazy, amber-peach, with minimal head. Aroma is ginger and cinnamon. Flavor follows, with some tang (almost tastes like some orange peel in there?) to it. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Not my thing, but part of a Christmas beer package I was gifted.

Can from brother. Pours black with beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate with light cherry notes. Pretty robust. Somewhat sweet. Cherry is light in the taste. Generally pretty good. Easy drinking.

Can from my brother: pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is earthy and very dank and resinous with light citrus. Taste is moderately bitter and dry. Lingering earthy aftertaste. Nice to mix it up.

From Beer Drop, best by June 16th 2026.
It pours a clear pale gold/orange with plenty of foam, good retention and lacing.
The smell I got as soon as I pulled the tab. Big citrus aromas, mostly oranges but some light lemon. Hints of tartness? I'm not sure aboot that. Coriander is big also.
The taste is is orange citrus that leans towards the sweet side. Light lemon presence, wheat, a hint of fruity tartness. Coriander is definitely there.
Very good mouthfeel, I could drink this again but no hurry.

12 oz. can from Publix. Pours a hazy/ cloudy gold color with a thick off-white head and good retention. Light lacing. Light citrus aroma. The taste follows the nose with light citrus/orange peel notes with a rather flat, lightly boozy finish. Not enough wheat base beer to support. The 9.5% ABV is fairly well hidden. Definitely warming. More boozy as it warms. It just needs a little more body. Medium-light body. Lower than expected carbonation. Not bitter. Okay.
