Bottle Pours a hazy deep orange/amber with littel off white head that dissapears quickly. Belgian yeast and light sweet malts are on the nose and not much hops. Flavor is much the same, with a more fruity character. Aples, appricots and bananas. A soft, slightly cloudy feel and a soft carbonation. The ABV is apparent but not out of line.

I am rather fond of Victory Brewing. I had not heard of this offering from them but jumped at the chance to try it. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma is sweet and vaguely vegetal. The mouthfeel is thick and syrupy. The flavor has a heavy sweet malt front with a mildly vegetal undertone and a nice malt finish. There is a mild alcohol burn on the finish as well.

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma has notes of straw and hops. The flavor is sweet and again with notes of straw and hops. Good for a pilsener.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber looking beer that is clearly not filtered with a good size head with good retention. Aroma is light roasted malt with some cloves/cinnamon. Taste is quite enjoyable with the roasted aspect mixing quiet well with the spicy (cinnamon?) and banana taste. Some bitterness can also be noticed at the end with a medium to full body.

Bottle, dated "Enjoy by Mar 09 ’05." Reviewed in my basement as I watch a rainstorm seep water all around my beer fridge. Thanks to Dorwart for putting this in his fine trade. Y’know, Eric Asimov, wine critic for the NY Times, channels his uncle Isaac’s smarts by reviewing beer once in a while, and his latest article had a thumbs up for this. But I think he missed the mark when he said that pilseners are not complex. This beer is very complex. I popped the cap to a whiff of strong beer that could be a slight skunk, but the odor dissipated. The pour is very pale, more like a macro, with a stiff, foamy "TV Beer" head. The malt taste is very light, probably light as you can get without adding corn. But malty, not sugary. Hops are there, but they are more for tang than bitterness, like a few bits of lemon peel. Finish is just fine, with a happy little hop prickle on your tongue. A well rounded pils tasted at the height of its maturity.

It’s about time I got a crack at this one! Golden amber colour. Zesty citrus hops and dark malts. Hoppy flavour, surprsingly lean body. Evenly balanced and with floral hoppiness. My type of Imperial IPA.

Deep hazy orange amber with a light fluffy Belgian laced head. Spicey yeast aroma with light coriander and strong vodka. Light orange peels also. Sweet candy sugar with whiff of warm alcohol. Some notes of pears and pineapple. Light hops in finsih. Rich and smooth bodied, with a rather quick finish.

This beer is not what it once was. I used to give this one a 3.8. Black with a small foamy beige head. Bitter, roasty and dry with strong floral hops. Long finish. Medium body.
