Very hop-forward pale ale, almost an IPA what with the lingering bitterness and noticeable caramel malts underneath. Starts with a burst of grapefruit and hints on mandarin orange underlined by a gentle sweet base, then dries out leading to a semi-dank, piney finish. Seems a bit lacking in depth--the fade peters out somewhat, and the hops seem mostly to provide the opening salvo of citrus--but drinkable. Lovely grapefruit-caramel nose, and the pour comes out a hazed gold with a brief white head and spotty lacing. Texture's a tad spiky, but overall a pretty good pint.

Delicious straightforward stout, heavy on the smoky char notes and a deep-but-not-indulgent dark chocolate backbone. Slight coffee cherry acidity leads to a dry, extra-dark-roast bitterness on the fade. Lovely roasted nose, and the pour is a deep black-brown with a tan head and good lacing. Damn fine stout.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a hazy peach gold color with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Caramel malt aroma with overripe orange and light durian aromas. Slick and oily on the palate. Lot's of caramel malt, sticky with some marshmallow notes and more overripe orange. Slightly boozy. Doesn't really come together all that well. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hopback Cadillac on 27 Aug 2018 at 10:40 - Score: 6. Original review text: Caramel bomb on the nose, overripe orange and resin. More old orange peel, bitter pith and honey malt. Sweet caramel malt & bitter zest
