Clear golden and copper coloured body with a nice, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of caster sugar, light hops, a touch of malt and some pine and citrusey notes as well. Medium-bodied; Strong piney and grapefruity flavours at first with a nice dose of malt to balance out the pungent hops, coupled with some light caramel and sweetness near the end. Aftertaste shows more flavours with fruit, pine, grain and a bit of cereal coming through at the tail end. Overall, a nice IPA with some good flavours and still enough hops to be considered a real IPA, along with a smooth balance of malt. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 15-November-2016 for US$2,64 sampled at home in Washington on 01-February-2017.

Walnut, persimmon, and honey nose, kind of a neat bakalava thing happening. Clear brown, thin head. Walnut, tart apple, oak, and honey. Light body, moderate carbonation. My experience with this style is limited thus far, but this comes the closest to what I envision the style should represent. Tons of personality and quite enjoyable. A good salad course beer.

Tallboy can from Wine Warehouse. Hazy yellow, large foamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of strong, spicy basil and white bread. The taste is spicy basil, thyme, mustard, pale malt. Almost pickle juice. Thin, refreshing, but will get tiresome.

Draft at the source. Hazy brownish amber color. Nice spicebush aroma. Just kidding, I have no clue what spicebush is. I do get the pepper and the citrus. Interesting anyway.
