Description
Driving on a dark stretch of two lane road, the Marquess family headed into the final stretch of their journey home. Pondering how to better live their creed of 'finding joy in the adventure,' they came up with a plan to join their passions of craft beer, travel, Arizona and the enjoyment of life. Founded, was Mother Road Brewing Company.
The Mother Road was the moniker given to U.S. Highway 66 by Grapes of Wrath author John Steinbeck, as he shared the story of the fictional Joad family, who traveled the road in hopes of trading desperation and heartache for hope and new beginnings. The Mother Road Brewery now resides along a lost portion of the storied highway, symbolizing both the journey we’ve made and our passion for craft beer, motoring and history.

On a flight in Best Brews Taproom, Lake Havasu City on 2nd April 2025. Light golden look, white crown. Only 4.4% ABV but a good solid blend of bittering hops and semi sweet maltiness. Nice crisp refreshing ale.

A 19.2 oz stovepipe can located at the Santa Fe Total Wine in the middle of the summer. With the dog days heat of August settled in locally, I believe it is time to sample a very chilled DIPA from Arizona. If there is an out-there ingredient to add to an IPA of any sort, mango would be my choice. My Teku is in ready to receive the pour, it just seems right today. A hazy gold-orange liquid shows up with a strong head of off-white foam. The nose is fruity to begin with and finished by a noticeable amount of hops. The drink is, well, I have to say it, pretty gosh durn good. Yes, plenty of mango and that is all right, cut pine, cereal, fresh hay and grass. A significant bitterness for an IPA carrying an adjunct flavor. Plenty of depth in the sensation. A fine DIPA, I would drink again, just not today.

Hazy and pale, thin head. Bitter grapefruit, malts and bit thin, not bad! Certainly the best IPA I had here.

Hazy, a bit darker than your average pale, soft, sweet citrusy malt base. Decent.

Hazy, sort of orangey pale, with a thin head. Same recipe as Whitewalls. Fruity, lowish bitterness and bright hop. Decent malt.
