Can. It’s a clear one, pale yellow in color, with a small, white head. White sugar, apples and a touch of old puke in the aroma. Rather sweet on the palate, smooth and soft, could easily be a bit more dry without anyone complaining. Apples, some white sugar and apple cores. Green and yellow apples and some white sugar in the finish. Not craft, not industrial. 150718

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 02.07.15. Very clear and very pale straw colour. Bright white head and lacing. Weak aroma of grass and succade. A slight hint of hops, bitterness and grass in taste. Waterish mouthfeel. Tasteless, but still unfresh.

Ellers ingenting.

20.06.2015, 0,5l can @ home:
Small bubbly shortlasting head, very light straw colored. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish, apple skin, hay, yellow apples, sugar, grass. Taste is fresh and sweet, sugar, yellow apples, green apples, apple skin, hay, grass. Fresh, yet sweet mouthfeel. Far from a good cider, still a good alternative to the sweet crappy ciders like Halmstad and Grevens etc......

Bottle 330ml @ home
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, corn, grain, cardboard, hint of floral and slightly skunked. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is fizzy. It was even worse than what i expected from a clear bottled macro pale lager that states they brewed it with corn on the front label like they are proud of it..

Bottle. I must admit I popped the cork with very low expectations, of several reasons. The beer is brewed with corn, the label design doesn’t exactly make it look high quality, it comes in a clear bottle, and the fact that the label clearly states the brewer never brewed with corn before don’t raise my expectations. Unfortunatly my expectations weren’t fullfilled, the beer is actually worse. It doesn’t look bad though, a small, white head sits on top of a clear, golden body. But... there’s a distinct skunky touch to the aroma, which besides that is rather weak. Some grassy, pear-like hops, a faint malty touch, some canned corn (not on the cob) and surprisingly there’s also a touch of acetone in the far back. Flavorwise it’s faintly better, it feels cleaner, and the fact that it’s quite dry makes you feel the little bitterness there is. Still, it’s almost sticky-cheewy on the palate, but not in a good way, and as usual for industrial pale lagers, the carbonation feels hard and unpleasant. Some cooked corn and bread dough notes too, especially in the finish. I think I could have finished the bottle if I tried to, but six or seven sips were enough by far. Awarding a 1.2 rating makes me feel generous. 150523

500 ml can from ICA Trekanten, Vågsbygd. Slightly hazy, pale golden body with practically no head, just some tiny white bubbles that disappears immediately. High carbonation. Not very strong aroma but definitively real cider with mild apple and yeast. The flavor is light apple juice, acidic berries and yeast. The first part of this can feels medium dry, but at the end it becomes much more sweet, especially in the aftertaste. Served straight from the fridge and then let the glass heat up a bit too room temperature might be the reason. Medium to thin body, it actually feels a bit like watered down fermented apple juice, not bad at all considering the 4,5% strength but not the highlight of the evening either. Definitivly drinkable as a real cider for the Norwegian grocery merked.
