Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is mild citrus. Med body or nearly. Flavor is earthy with citrus and very arguably lemon. It’s earthy, dry, mildly bitter. Maybe some complexity - flavors I can’t place seem to be present. Arguably it’s a bit sour. But it could be citrus messing with me.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Slow gusher. Pours hazy orange gold with a transient white head. Aroma of wine, brett and oak. Med body. Flavor is delicate brett, slightly sour citrus/stone fruit, and hints of astringent oak. Wood burn on the tongue? Earthy, funky, fruity, woody. Delicate for the style. Go Mraz!

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a large creamy off-white head. Aromas of fruit esters, wine and wood. Full bodied. Flavor is woody, even ancient woody, a little malt and some fruit ester - maybe a bit of wine, tho not much. No heat. I have had drier ales, but not many. This is amazingly tasty stuff.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours blk/brn with a tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate. Medium body. Flavor is very chocolate with some malt and I can imagine a touch of coffee. Pretty tasty - finishes a bit less than dry. Good.

Waxed bottle from Corti Bros. Pours a overly ripe peach brown with a slight beige head. Aroma has that tart fruity, woody, aroma, fitting a sour red. Med body or nearly. It is tart, sour with some definite stone fruit which might be cherry. Probably is. Finishes woody/sour/cherry - but the cherry is pretty much low in the flavor profile. Pleasant drink.
