Can - hazy purple beer - messy-ass beer all-around - rough maltiness, some chocolate, plum, huskiness - nose is tart and lightly tannic - strong vegetal character through the middle, like boiled root vegetables - messy phenolics late - rough finish - just messy overall.

Can from Whole Foods Wine and Spirits in Boulder, 11/22/15. Pours a mostly clear yellowish color. Looks almost like apple juice. Additionally, it has a white head and drippy lace. Citrus and yeast flavor and aroma. Good bit of spice. Some straw and a bit of an apple type fruitiness come through too. Light bodied with an okay mouthfeel overall. Seems a little off style for a Saison. Okay beer overall.

In the can @ home, picked up at Boulder Liquor Mart. Pours a burnt orange appearance with a light brown head. Spicy, twangy, chemical nose with some resin, celery, and heat. Medium body. Harsh bitterness. A little bit of citrus. Some sappy hops. Not that good.

Can @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours clear very dark brown, with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of roast and citrus. Bitter, hoppy and roasty flavour, with notes of malt and touches of coffee and malt. Bitter, dry aftertaste. OK but rather too much on the dry side.
