Description
During August 2006 Jarrow BrewPub set up a second brewpub, using a 12½BBL plant. This was opened at The Maltings Brewery Tap & Westoe Brewhouse, 9 Claypath Lane, South Shields NE33 4PG. Brewing ceased at The Maltings when the brewery relocated to its new location in Summer 2014. The brewery closed in Summer 2015.

Cask at Watford beer festival, Herts. A ruby red coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel. Quite drinkable.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2013.rich ruby red colour loose cream head. Aroma is black tea, green hop, caramel. Flavour follows, some toffe and blackberry. Decent condition.

Cask at the Henry Addington canary wharf. Golden ale with a persistent white head. Aroma is fairly standard, nutty malt some English yeast ester. Flavour is slightly grassy hop astringent stale malt. A bit boring but pleasant enough.

Gravity dispense at the Happy Man Autumn BF, Englefield Green, 11/10/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white head. Nose citrus, grassy, lemon rind, faint toasty malts. Taste comprises tangy citrus, lemon, orange pith, quite bitter citrics in this one. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with grassy bitterness. Ok GB.

Gravicask, one-third pint, GBBF 2013. Near clear golden body. Spotty lacing. Mild floral fruity nose. Taste of grapefruits, mid-sweet, together with juicy malts. Fresh fruit bitter ending. Fine bodied. Quite morish (London Olympia 15.08.2013).

Half pint, 4.2 % abv, cask by handpump at Dagda Bar. Near clear copper coloured body, fragile lacing. Mild leafy hops to the nose. Lemon and peaches to the taste buds. Subdued fruit bitter ending. Thin to medium bodied. Pretty standard for the style (Edinburgh 10.08.2013).

GBBF Day 3. Lightly hazy pale gold beer. Small white head. Palate is light with good fine carbonation. Nice mouthfeel. Floral softness leading to floral bitterness. Little lemon. Light fresh finish. Very drinkable.

From cask. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and light toasted malty. Smooth fruity, citrusy and crisp hoppy. Bitter and citrusy into the finish.
