Description
Kompania Piwowarska operates three breweries with rich heritage: Tyskie Browary Książęce (established in 1629), the Dojlidy Brewery in Bialystok (1768) and Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznan (1895). These breweries provide Polish people with their favourite beers, including Żubr, Tyskie, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s and the Książęce specialty collection. Our proven beer recipes, natural ingredients, pristinely clean breweries and, above all, superbly skilled and experienced brewers, allow us to brew beers that are highly valued in Poland and abroad.

500 ml can, bought in Poland. Golden colour, large white head. Flowery sweet aroma, candy notes too. Flavour is unusually sweet for a pale lager, sugary and artificial candy notes. Hardly any bitterness. Barely escaped being poured down the drain.

500 ml can, bought in Poland. Golden to amber colour, large head. Fairly strong sweetish musty and fruity aroma. Flavour is fairly malty and sweet with evident alcoholic notes, partially balanced by tolerable hops. I had it on its own at cellar temperature, would probably prefer it cold with a solid Polish meal.

Poured a golden amber with foamy white head. Bitter grassy smell at first with a malt mixture. Started off tingly of alcohol and finished wth a rich malt.

Test vom 28.3.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,12,7,11,9

Bottled (as Zubr Jasne Pelne). Golden colour, minor white head. Malty and hoppy aroma. Flavour quite the same. Quite standard lager, but does hide the 6% ABV quite well. Sticky palate.

Golden color, small white head, mostly vanishing. Sweetish, lemony hoppy aroma. Very carbonated. Light, a bit alcoholic, malty with hints of hops somewhere. Easy to drink, easy to forget.

Bottle. Creamy white mostly lasting good head. Dark yellow colour. Powerfull aroma, but not with much finess. A bit acetic and malty. Malty flavour. You can taste the alcohol but not too much. Average finish. Due too the alcohol a bit oily. A deasent beer.

I had this while waiting for my flight in the international airport in Warsaw and my director paid for it - so I really can’t complain.
It has a hazy pinkish orange color - leaning more towards pink/red where the glass is widest and more towards orange in the bottom of the glass, where it is slimmest - and it was served with no head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of raspberries, but also hints of malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of raspberries and very carbonated - somewhat like a raspberry sodapop, though with a slight maltiness to it. It is not bad - but to me it leans more towards a alcopop than a beer flavor wise.

Pale golden yellow, small white head, some lace. Strong spicey nose: ginger is dominating. Medium-bodied. Very sugary and sweet - strong taste of cinnamon and ginger. Just sugar in the finish then some burning ginger in the aftertaste. More like a spiced lemonade than a beer.
