Description
Kompania Piwowarska operates three breweries with rich heritage: Tyskie Browary Książęce (established in 1629), the Dojlidy Brewery in Bialystok (1768) and Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznan (1895). These breweries provide Polish people with their favourite beers, including Żubr, Tyskie, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s and the Książęce specialty collection. Our proven beer recipes, natural ingredients, pristinely clean breweries and, above all, superbly skilled and experienced brewers, allow us to brew beers that are highly valued in Poland and abroad.

Golden color, lively carbonation, small white head. Ginger and maize in the nose. Sticky sweet palate. Very sugary and syrupy with an artifical ginger flavors. Beer for kids (and for .. some ... women).

An orange beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with some hints of hops, while the flavor is plainly sweet malty - hard to pick up the hops.
Earlier Rating: 11/1/2004 Total Score: 2.5
A golden beer with a fine white head. The aroma is simply sweet malty. The flavor is sweet malty, but with hints of sourness from brewing cereal as well as caramel. The stronger alcohol content than an average pilsener is recognizable without being too much. The brewing cereal draws it slightly down from the average pilsener.

(Bottle 50 cl) 4,1% ABV in my version. Golden pilsener colour with a very small head. Distinct fresh aroma of ginger. Excessive sweetness with marked - but also fresh - notes of ginger. No real traces of neither malt nor hops. This reminds me more of a sodapop. 170905

Can. Golden colour, not much head, maybe because of the glass used. No aroma and very sweet taste. Palate ok, soft carbonated. 22-01-06. Tried it in better glass and the heads much better.

(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden with a pretty, creamy head. Sweetish, malty nose. Very soft mouthfeel - the label isn’t lying when it claims the beer to be "Extra Smooth". Weird fruity flavours and an odd, artificial sweetness which I don’t believe hails from the malt. Dry finish. Very unusual and not particularly pleasant. 140905

Bottled. Dark golden colour, mediumsized foamy head. Alcohol, sour apple and honey in aroma. Fruity flavour with hints of alcohol. Alcohol grows in finish. Sweet aftertaste. In my opinion a quite good strong lager. ABV is high, but still this is drinkable!
