Description
Kompania Piwowarska operates three breweries with rich heritage: Tyskie Browary Książęce (established in 1629), the Dojlidy Brewery in Bialystok (1768) and Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznan (1895). These breweries provide Polish people with their favourite beers, including Żubr, Tyskie, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s and the Książęce specialty collection. Our proven beer recipes, natural ingredients, pristinely clean breweries and, above all, superbly skilled and experienced brewers, allow us to brew beers that are highly valued in Poland and abroad.

can. Reddish colour. Rather sweet, tastes like lemonade. The only thing that reminds me of beer is a certain bitterness in the finish.

bottle. Looks all right, but that’s it. Very sweet indeed, has nothing to do with beer, to my opinion.

bottle. Amber colour, large and fluffy head. Perfumed nose. Not very beery, rather perfumed, reminds me of a famous Austrian lemonade with lots of herbs. Thirst-quenching summer beer.

bottle, bought at a Polish shop. Golden yellow, large head. Sweet and malty, full-bodied. The alcohol is not as much detectable as I had thought.

Bottle. Pours a clear, golden, with a minimal white head. The aroma has lime and ginger, and I can’t find anything else, thus making it as interesting as a German radler. The flavor is mostly the same, with a little bitterness in the background. Medium to thin body. Sweetish, lime-like finish with a little ginger note. I can understand that someone want’s to brew something like this, but why on earth would a Norwegian importer go for this when there are at least 10000 other, more interesting beers available on bottle? 500ml bottle. Gold, thick off white head. Quite a tsty strong lager, decent malt and then this good dose of hops on the finish. Some citrus and toffee on aroma. Fine. Drinkable and alcohol isn’t too obvious.

500ml bottle. Terrible apple flavoured beer. Awful. Some apple fruit, some dryness on end. OK so it’s not as bad as some sweet ciders, but even so.

500ml bottle. My first beer of the day lounging on the Ashford ringroad waiting for the Tour de France. Reddy pink with thin white head. Strong red berry flavour. Really quite sweet, but fun and drinkable. Actually quite refreshing. Some dryness on finish.

330 ml green bottle, as "Classic Gingers Beer / Piwo Imbirowe". Courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Original gravity 11.8%, ABV is 4.1%. Admixtures: E300 anti-oxidant, caramel E150c-colour, apple acid E296 acidity regulator. Contains barley malt, sugar and sweetening substances: glucose syrup, E950, E951. Contains a source of phenylalanine. In other words: not quite "Reinheitsgebot" .... Good grief!
Crystal clear pale golden colour, with relatively big bubbles. Fizzy and foamy head that dies out completely after a while. Strong sweetish aroma of ginger, glucose syrup and disgusting chemical stuff. The flavour is also very sweet, but not really disgusting - it has a lot in common with the softdrink / mixer ginger "ale". There’s just a weak notion that the basis of this drink is actually a beer. People who really like "ginger ale" might like this beer too. I’ll pass, thank you.

Strenger alkoholischer Geruch. Test vom 18.3.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,8,8,4,8 - 8,25
