Description
Kompania Piwowarska operates three breweries with rich heritage: Tyskie Browary Książęce (established in 1629), the Dojlidy Brewery in Bialystok (1768) and Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznan (1895). These breweries provide Polish people with their favourite beers, including Żubr, Tyskie, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s and the Książęce specialty collection. Our proven beer recipes, natural ingredients, pristinely clean breweries and, above all, superbly skilled and experienced brewers, allow us to brew beers that are highly valued in Poland and abroad.

Bottle picked this up at Witney, Waitrose, 20-01-08 Pours a mid golden colour with medium carbonation. The taste whilst not unpleasant is a little too commercial and the ginger tastes more powder like than root ginger. Rather to sweet as well for my liking but it slipped down ok

Clear golden with tiny short lasting head. Alcohol dominates the aroma that also holds caramel. Grassy flavor with caramel and alcohol notes. Finishes light bitter.

50cl can bought in Hounslow. The colour of rose wine with a pink head; raspberry aroma; tastes like raspberry pop, but has some body and underlying bitterness beneath the sugary sweetness. I can’t help thinking that if this was Belgian it would have far higher ratings. It’s certainly drinkable, and tastes natural rather than being full of artificial colours and flavours.
