Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark amber, approaching brown; white head. Aroma - I canβt pick out anything specific. Mixed. Med body. Flavor - malt forward, a little roasty, and somehow making me think lightly spicy treacle. Hop? Yes, but light. Finishes somewhat towards dry with a lightly bitter finish.

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light cinnamon notes, light chocolate and chili, not bad. In mouth, a sweet chocolate malt with light coffee, cinnamon, chili, alcohol warmth, nice. On tap at Aces and Ales Nellis.

Thanks Dara for the bottle.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There wasnβt much lacing about this.
The smell had a nice light raspberry interweaving itself in and out of some sweet malt. It seemed there were some light cherries and strawberries that were there as well.
The taste was slightly sweet and added a decent tartness from the raspberries.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and decent for the style and for me. Slight tart raspberry aftertaste with a refreshing sort of crisp finish.
Overall, good fruit beer, it seemed pretty authentic in the fruits that came out at least to me.
