Bottle pours out golden copper-topped with a sand head. Nose is Big Bourbon Barrel upfront some Citrus Pine Hops and plenty sweet mullets. Nose is more of the nice heavy bourbon notes vanilla with a bitter Pine Citrus hop to help cut the booze.

Tap at the brewery - clear gold - super light-bodied, floral, citric, with peppery character on the end - bright and refreshing, with a dry and fruity finish that has been characteristic of the examples of this style I've had so far - this is the lowest in abv I've had and I think the lower abv benefits the beer - I'm enjoying this one.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy dark gold - soft carbonation - fairly dry, with the yeast presenting as some peppery spice through the middle, gaining prominence through the finish - moderate fruitiness and acidity throughout from the rose juice - it's alright.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a big, foamy, brown head. The aroma is mild coffee, pine bark, light licorice, almonds, black pepper, and dates. Sweet, with a harsh, roasted bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, chalky, and sticky mouthfeel. This is a nice, aromatic porter, if a little harsh.

12 oz can as pictured. Slightly warm big gusher. All over the place with its big foaming rocky head. Sweet almost mild pineapple smell. Taste is very bitter, biting dull kick ass punch in the face. Yes, its 6% but it comes across more like 8. Its offensively on style fer sher just not too delicious for this cheap pale lager lover. If you love IIPA, ignore my numbers, this should be in your bucket list, hehehehheh

Tulip at the brewery - hazy gold - nose and flavor is sweet, plum-heavy, with notes of lavender, citrus, pepper, clove, banana - really ester-heavy, and with the addition of the fruit, it's a bit much - finishing peppery phenolics are a little strong - messy, but not unenjoyable.

10 ounce at the brewery - I've never been a huge fan of adding citrus to an IPA, but god help me I keep trying them - this is another example of why I don't like them that much - very pithy citric bitterness does not really harmonize with the hops, so overall it's sharp and abrasive - the alcohol burn at the end doesn't help - good hop presence, flavor, and aromatics - finish of bitter grapefruit and mandarin oranges - meh.

Tap at the brewery - hazy light orange - nose of apricot, light pepper, hay, toasty grain - full mouthfeel, soft carbonation - medium-dry, with background dried apricot sweetness, pepper, slightly bready on the tail end - really kind of thin in flavor - I appreciate the effort, but it falls flat for me.
