12oz can. Deep black body. Thick beige head. Classic Imperial Stout, hits the spot. Deep and malty, with a reasonable hop balance. Still on the sweet side. Compared to all the pastry stouts hitting the market, this is quite drinkable, true, and enjoyable. Good.

Can. Bang cock, heheh. So its 3pm in the afternoon and I just shoveled my car out of the driveway because of the snow drift. This will be a perfect treat. Slight haze on pale yellow. Perhaps a friendly lemony nose. Yes, I was hoping this was not some stupid ass IPA and its not, thank you. Taste is ale in nature and a little bitter but the lemon grass lemony effect really smooths it out in the end. Not bad, actually can appreciate the spices in this one.

12oz can pours with a deep dark body that tall tan head of foam. The aroma offers up lots of dark roasted malts and coffee as well as some spicy maple and a vague sweetness blended with chocolate. The taste delivers dark roasted malts that have a coffee and burnt malt edge. It then gets into spicy maple and a bit of chocolate. Into the finish a nearly charred malt sensation takes over. Decent. I dig it.

12oz can pours with a deep dark body that supports a nice little tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up chocolate, peanut butter, that has a slight dusty quality, and then spicy black strap molasses candy. Not the most inviting aroma. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts that quickly pick up dark roastiness, molasses nuanced peanut butter and then a solid black strap molasses coated spicy anise. This one comes up short and clangs off the iron.

Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop astringency after the finish, but not overwhelming. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a delicious IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; despite the aggressively bitter/drying finish. Nailed the west coast style intent. Extremely dank/vibrant hop complexity; solid pale malt backbone with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

Opaque black color with a medium thick foamy beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of maple syrup, malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of sweet maple, roast coffee and malt. The finish is sweet with a maple and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Large sized pine, citrus rind, peppery, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, lemon/orange rind, peppercorn, pine, honey, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/piney hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy, bready, sticky, resinous, and rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Lightly increasing warmth of 11% after the finish. Overall this is a very good big DIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/piney hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV; despite the aggressively bitter/resin/drying finish. Very dank, earthy, and piney hop complexity; balanced malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering. Great single hop showcase.

Nice unique mix of dank and vibrant hop complexity from the Jarrylo hops; well attenuated and pretty light feeling considering the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malt, coffee, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Great nutty/fruity coffee presence, and a great well rounded base brown ale malt profile. Just enough hops to balance. A very enjoyable offering, and great style example.
