32 oz crowler from the brewery. Thanks, Wyatt! Cool to see this classic brew still going strong more than 15 years after it's first rating. Cola dark brown pour. Quite fading head. Smooth and flavorful lager. Toasty malts, slightly rich notes. Cool, bready malt finish. Slight caramel. Delightful black lager.

On tap @Bottlecraft Little Italy. Short goblet pour. Should of asked for less. Ruby, clear, vibrant. Grape juice, rose wine, flabby thoughts. Deep blueberry juice & sweet hibiscus. Faintly drying tartness. Flabby & sweeter than I'd like, but it's not intolerable. Low acid, pedestrian box juice. Nope.

Pours near black with a light tan head. The aroma is of roast malt and some dark fruit. It tastes of roast malt, a surprising amount of dark fruit, and too much sugary sweetness. This isn’t terrible but could be a whole lot better. I usually love this style. Disappointing.

Pours a hazy amber brown with a small off white head. It has a caramel, fruity malt aroma. The sweet flavor is of cherries and other dark fruit, caramel, and minimal hops. It’s very malty, but it’s not sickeningly sweet. Full body. Alcohol is mostly buried.

2011 Barrel series purchased in 2022. Whiskey, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy brown with minimal head. Very sweet whiskey, caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Good body - smooth. Aged very nicely (especially given that it was on a shelf for who knows how long).

Pours dark amber with a small head. It smells of boozy caramel malt and a touch of dark fruit. The flavor is of sweet caramel malt with a little dark fruit. Alcohol. Full bodied. It’s alright though I had higher expectations.

Pours clear copper with a small off white head. The aroma is piney, fruity and hoppy. Tropical. The flavor is moderately bitter with piney hops, citrus, and toasted caramel malt. Nice for a session ipa.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with an ecru head. Aroma is nutty. Flavors are bitter pine and grass with some subtle malt sweetness. Overlall, a nice take on the style.
