OVERALL: a not bad dark lager with style-average flavours but with a dominant diacetyl aroma.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 2B). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L07/2015LL. AROMA: mild malt aroma with some restrained diacetyl. nop hop aromas. APPEARANCE: almost coppery color and translucent. thin white head with medium-low retention. TASTE: overall pleasant malt flavour. low bitterness that almost lingers into a semi-sweet finish. diacetyl present and no hop flavours recognizable. PALATE: thin body and low carbonation. OVERALL: a good start to a bohemian pilsener that needs more hop presence, body and carbonation.

Yet another contaminated Vadia beer with a pungent acetic aroma and flavour. Undrinkable. Very bad for the brand (and craft sector) to sell this...

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (Style 15A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L12/2014TB. AROMA: sour aroma dominates. no phenols or wheat noticeable. some hull notes. APPEARANCE: very pale yellow that resembles a wit. large white head with average retention. TASTE: very sour acetic / n-butyric flavour. horrible taste that resembles a geuze and not a weizen. no phenols, esters noticeable. some faint wheat notes. undrinkable. PALATE: low body with high carbonation. OVERALL: yet another undrinkable Vadia beer, even for a weizen that won a prize horrible sour taste probably from brewhouse infection. all tasted Vadia beers have this sour aroma and taste and it cannot be on purpose. Wont be buying products from this brand in the near future.

Re-rating (previous 1.5) Review according to BJCP2021 guidelines (style 8B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch F085LP1 (BB 01.03.2025). AROMA: medium-low diacetyl aroma, followed by a low roasty and almost smoky malt background. APPEARANCE: very dark amber color with ruby highlights. clear. low creamy tanned head with ok retention. TASTE: initial low diacetyl note immediately followed by medium roasted malt notes with a coffee-like impression. medium bitterness with a dry and roasty finish. PALATE: medium-creamy body. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a Schwarzbier with formulation (excessively roasted) and fermentation problems. The flavour is a bit ok although too much roasted for a Schwarzbier.

Review according to BJCP2008 (Style 2B). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L08/2014LB. AROMA: very strange aroma for a czech pilsner. sour aroma (resembles lactic fermentation) mixed with citric notes, pine and dishwasher detergent. no floral or grassy hop bouquet typical of a pilsner. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and very hazy (the bottle says unfiltered). creamy thin white head with average persistence. TASTE: strong dishwasher detergent flavour mixed citric notes. odd sour flavour mixed with hop bitterness. PALATE: low body with average carbonation. OVERALL: maybe a contaminated batch with an horrible sour aroma and detergent taste, that doesnt fit into the "Pilsner" style at all.

(Re-rating) Review based on personal opinions (ale style unknown). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L59/2014LR. AROMA: sour aroma with notes of stable and barn, consistent of fermentation by wild yeast and/or bacteria. no hop aromas or malt aromas that stand out. APPEARANCE: deep gold to orange and opaque. creamy ivory head with poor retention. TASTE: slight acidic flavour with notes similar to the aroma. acid derived bitterness at the end of the tasting. PALATE: almost thin body consistent with extreme attenuation. average carbonation. OVERALL: the re-tasting of this batch is similar to the one made in October 2014. An odd beer with characteristics that are consistent with wild yeast/bacteria contamination (if not on purpose since the beer style is not known).

At a tasting, thanks teddybeer, not the greatest of labels, small creamy bubbley head, very hazy yellow colour, aroma of lemonade, cardboard, rubber and toilets, flavour of toilets, bleach, and a strong acidic lemon sourness, which continues to a long unpleasant aftertaste. Really bad.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks tomer. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Sourish aroma, kinda funky and fruity, with lemonade, somev grass and hay. Sourish and bitterish flavor with fruits, malt, and a bit of grassy notes. Rather light-bodied, lively carbonation. Obviously spoiled.
