Description
We're a free-thinking craft cider company that doesn't like being constrained. In fact we only like making craft ciders as naturally and as simply as possible - using the very best fresh apples, small batch techniques, wild yeasts and 100% juice. The resulting ciders are full of depth, character and as near to perfection as we can get them

500ml bottle from Perry’s. Pale golden straw-yellow colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple, woody oak, funk. Taste is tangy apple with woody, oak, vanilla and barnyard, rubber, bittersweet notes plus some light tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s. Many thanks to Daniel. Translucent bright yellow, golden coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is sweet apple and pear, light plastic, tang, some rum barrel. Flavour is composed of apple, pear fruit, super dry, little smoke, apple skin, Super dry apple skin tannin in the finish. Palate is crisp and dry, highish carbonation. Very dry. Good stuff.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Daniel. Pours very slightly hazy gold with a few bubbles for a head. Nice tangy apples in the nose, a little must, skins, damp hay. Light-medium sweet flavor with dry and musty hay, semi-ripe apples, a little tang. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Dry and musty to finish with some bitter green apple skin, a little apple juice sweetness, subtle funk. Good stuff overall.

Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours lightly hazy gold with a tiny white head. The nose is sweet, funky, apple skin, apple pie, light spice and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, woody, apple skin, lemony sherbet and just a touch of acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite nice actually.

At the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Cloudy gold in hue. Still. Drying and a little sour in the mouth. A bit watery. Definite bitter apple skins here with not enough flesh to compensate. Always find it difficult to rate ciders but this is not one of my favourites.

Box @ Saxon Crown, Corby. Paler yellow colour. Good apple nose, with a slightly lesser taste due to its extremely dry nature.
