From the March 2014 Pittsburg Ratebeer gathering. +++ Sampled from a growler this beer poured a hazy apricot-caramel color with a medium sized foamy off white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with touches of vinegar, toffee and citrus. The flavor was tart and sour with notes of vinegar, caramel, toffee, ginger, citrus and pineapple. Long finish. Medium body. Interesting.

750 mL bottle from the brewery. I miss that place. Pours a clear red color with maybe a touch of brown. Medium sized foamy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of earth, toffee, yeast, cherry, spice, bready malt. The taste is toffee, bread, tart cherries, dark fruit, anise, spice, yeast, Twizzlers candy, citrus. Medium bodied, low carbonation, moderate booze. Solid.
