Tap @ Szimpla Craft Beer Bar, Berlin. Pours Black with a creamy thick beige head. Beach smoke, Bamberg, roast, chocolate. Very smooth and dry. Roasted bitter hoppy finish with an ashy touch. Cool!

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and smoked bacon, with notes of hops and touches of twigs. Bitter, hoppy flavour with clear, intense, but not deafening or disturbing, smoky notes and touches of malt and yeast. Smoky and hoppy aftertaste. The best smoked pilsener I have ever tasted. The only drawback is the rather low carbonation. Otherwise perfect.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark copper brown wit airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt, with touches of roast and caramel and hints of fruit. Roasty onset, giving way to sweetish notes of malt and caramel and gentle touches of smoke and nuts. Bitterish and smoky afteraste. A decent smoked porter, although it has some touches of brown ale about ti.

[ As Setka Madagaskar ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, malt, spicy, vanilla, cardamon, moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, spicy, vanilla, cardamon, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160204]

50 cl bottle. Pours pitch black with a small off white head. Aroma is smoked, dark malty. Slight meaty smoked. Rich malty, breadish, smoked and dark malty to liqourice. Dark malty, liqourice and roasted finish.

Butelka 0.5l (25.08.2016). Barwa bursztynowa, piwo zmętnione. Piana koloru ecru, drobniutka, zbita, obfita i trwała, ładnie oblepia ścianki szkła. Aromat w pierwszej chwili cytrusowy ale w miarę ogrzewania się piwa przeważają nuty żywiczne z słodkim, tropikalnym akcentem w tle. W smaku świetnie wyważona, żywiczna goryczka, krótka, niezalegająca, no może minimalnie ale czuć rześkość i lekkość w piwie choć ciało jest wyraźnie zaznaczone. Bardzo fajnie zbalansowane piwo gdzie wytrawność jest kontrowana słodową, lekko słodką, podbudową, bardzo pijalne i orzeźwiające z porządnym kopem goryczy. Jak dla mnie bardzo dobre odzwierciedlenie stylu west coast IPA.

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności do 07.08.2016, temperatura degustacji 14 stopni +, szkło snifter. Aromat: bardzo przyjemna wędzonka, paloność, popiół, delikatny aromat czekoladowo-kawowy, sorachi ace za nic nie czuję (w single hop ipa doskonale wyczuwam, w tym przypadku nic albo mało poszło albo palone słody przykryły, wydaje mi się że trochę szkoda było sypać taki chmiel bo efekt żaden, w każdym bądź razie kokos brak), ale bez wad i ta genialna wędzonka trochę kiełbasiana. Barwa: ciemno brunatne prawie czarne, klarowność?. Piana: obfita, ciemno beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa powoli się dziurawi i na środku tworzy się kremowa czapa, opadając pozostawia ładny leasing. Smak: bardzo przyjemne w odbiorze, niezwykle pijalne, wytrawne z delikatną kwaskowatością, czekolada plus wędzonka wszystko dopełnia popiołowa goryczka, alk doskonale ukryty aczkolwiek jest delikatne grzanie. Wysycenie średnie do niskiego, średnia pełnia, naprawdę udane, wypiłem ze smakiem.
