Description
In 2010 Jasper Cuppaidge rented five Victorian railway arches underneath Kentish Town West Station. By Spring 2010, Camden Town Brewery officially started brewing. In December 2015, it was announced that Camden Town Brewery was being bought by AB InBev. Camden Town Brewery built a new production brewery, in Enfield 12 miles north of their Kentish Town brewery, which was opened in Spring 2017. The old brewery at Wilkin Street Mews at Arch 55 brews small batch and pilot beers.

On tap at Craft Beer Co. It pours black, with a beige head. The nose is roasted malt, charcoal, filter coffee and ash. The taste is creamy, roasted malts, ash, watery, cardboard, come chocolate, charcoal and filter coffee, with a dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Ok, but a bit too thin.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. It pours much darker than expected - deep brown, with a big off-white head. The nose is toffee (due to crystal malt?), with some pine, hop and leather. The taste is hay, wood, pine, caramel, toffee, leather and resin, with a long bitter finish. Thin body, well hidden-alcohol and fine carbonation. A bit thin and one dimensional.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2011, London. Pours clear, light brown with a faint head. Not much aroma, perhaps some dirty malts. Light sweet flavor, very dusty malts, toasty sugars. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, slightly sticky finish, more toasty sugars. Quite bland overall. I’ll need to try this again because I’m hoping there was a conditioning issue or something. As I had it, this beer was pretty weak.

Fra cask på Draft House, Tower Bridge 18 Mai 11. Lys gylden. Kjempearoma! Sitrus & aprikos. Nesten ikke skum. Smaken er vel sammensatt syrlige frukter. Sitrus dominerer. God men savner en distinkt ettersmak.
