From tap at one of the restaurant locations. Pours black and with a creamy tan head. Aroma is dark malt and liqourice, nicely roasted. Quite liqourice flavoured, nice breadish touch, subdued sweetness and a nice roasted malt flavour mixed with a bit of bitterness. Lingering dark malty flavoured into a bitter and lasting liqourice finish.

Draught at Cervejeira Lusitana (José Malhoa location), Lisbon. Clear amber, airy head. Grassy nose, some metal. Medium bodied with plenty of caramel and rounded mouthfeel. Mild and toffeeish with a dash of coffee. Lightly grassy finish. A bit indistinct. Apparently not all beers at Lusitana are always brewed by themselves rather "in cooperation with Unicer" . They could have fooled me that this was actually Super Bock Abadia, but the bartender assured me it was their own recipe, and that it was top fermented.

Draught at Cervejeira Lusitana (José Malhoa location), Lisbon. Opaque black, average sized beige head. Syrupy cocoa aroma. Sweet with coarse, raw mouthfeel. Void and fizzy, Very disappointing, and in fact rather industrial tasting. Low bitterness.

Draught at Cervejeira Lusitana (José Malhoa location), Lisbon. Cloudy mahigany colour, small creamy head. Toffee aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Rather bland. Instead of the expected esters there’s toffee and a touch of metal.

Draught at Cervejeira Lusitana (José Malhoa location), Lisbon. Clear golden, small head. Grassy nose. Dry with German style crisp malt and light body. Not enough grassy hops for a pils, but still enought to distinguish it from the mass market Portuguese beers. Salty bitterish finish. A fairly well made thirst quencher - just add some more hops.
