Bottle (kindly delivered by Allen!): A bit hazy, quite small off-white head, amber - You guessed it - coloured; caramel, dark malt and traces of vegetables in the nose, very light bodied for a beer of 5.0%, mild sweetish-bitter flavour; caramelly traces and shy hops in the slightly lingering finish. Boring brew.......

(bottle, 33cl, as Oberländerbräu Amber Spezial) Hazy, dark amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, chestnuts and vanilla. Moderately sweet flavour, quite slim bodied with a calm carbonation. Delicately toasted cara-malty taste with light nutty notes and traces of herbal hops; slim and also a bit short malty finish with a profane hops-character. 19.I.10

(bottle, 33cl, with thanks to Allen!) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and moderately sweet caramel-malty aroma with slightly fruity and herbal hoppy notes. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Cara-malty, slightly nutty and fruity taste with herbal and yeasty spice; a bit slim malt-accented bitter-sweet finish with a light but still present herbal and slightly spicy hops. Despite the name it is no Bock. 07.I.10
