Can. Pours clear copper, medium beige head, good lacing. Aroma is full of caramel, toffee, hints of pine, marzipan, cherry, date. Flavor is merlin sweet, light plus bitter. No werthers here, but it's likely about as good as a non ba bwizzle gets. Full body.

From can to glass. Spicy ester aroma. Moderate light gold and medium haze with massive white head that retains nicely throughout. Head is creamy and billowy. Flavor is floral and slight pepper spice. Moderate low biscuit malt. Moderate sweetness.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear bright gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of fruit and earths. Med body or so. Flavor is slightly sour/Brett with mixed non-tropical notes. Mildly earthy? Or is that just more of the Brett aspect? Like Brett isn't used here, but? Ah, good flavor. That's what counts.

16 ounce can at Kennedy’s Irish Pub and Curry in San Francisco. Opaque brown color. Fluffy Beige head leans towards a warm drawn bath. Roasted malt aroma hints at cocoa, charred wood and spent coffee grounds. Soft pillows of toasted malt and brown bread are evident in the first sip. Wonderfully subdued in its complexity. Some smokiness and chocolate on the palate. Easy drinking for the style. Nicely done.?
