Flavors are Floral, bready, lightly nutty, some hoppiness, honey, floral. Somewhat strong bitterness for the style. Lively bubbles, dry and crisp. Tasty lager.

Poured up on tap at Beer Revolution with crystal clear gold body supporting a thin off white head. The aroma offers up a nice pungent spicy hoppiness sliding into lesser amounts of vague citrus like hops. The taste delivers fairly bold spicy hops that carry a good load of resiny hop bitterness that moves into some bitter grapefruit like notes. Hidden behind the bitterness are modest notes of mostly spicy hop flavor and some citrus hop flavor. Wow! This is an amazing IPA experience with harmonious and varied rich hop notes from front to back. Damn!

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A dense, finger-thick beige head sits on top of a very dark brown body. Sort of sourish on the nose, but it’s the roasted aromas that dominates. Not much room left for anything else. The flavor is lemony sour with a solid dose of roasted malts. Medium to thin on the palate. Lightly lemony finish, sour and roasted, with a hint of burnt malts. Overall, a bit too thin and highly unusual, but it drinks easily. 110528

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a creamy beige head of fingerthick size over a more or less pitch black body. Some lacings too. Roasted malts, a touch of coffee and a faint vegetal hint in the aroma. The flavor is mostly roasted and coffee-ish, both initially and in the end. Smooth, yet a bit flat, medium body, dry. A sort of unusual beer, but nice indeed. 110528

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, dark brown beer with a tan, finger-thick head. Roasted malts and dried fruit notes on the nose. Pleasant but a bit one dimensional. The same goes for the flavor, it could use more depth, and the redwood tips isn’t very well pronounced. Maybe it’s the lack of hops that make it so one dimensional, maybe it’s not enough redwood tips in it. The finish has a herbal bitterness and some roasted hints. Medium body, pleasantly carbonated. Even though I’ve pointed out a few things with this beer, it’s a decent beer indeed, easy drinkable too. 110526
