Bottle at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter 2013 Tasting - London. Massive thanks to Colin and the Rilester for their collective efforts to secure this beauty. Pours clear, very pale yellow with a fine, white froth head. Nose has lots of cabbage and dough, smacking of a well pasteurised beer. Light sweet flavor, papery, with fine, biscuity pale malts and light hay bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish with more loose-leaf paper, mellow sweetness, further fine and biscuity pale malts. Fair. Not a stunner but I could envision the joy of sinking a few of these on the beach and/ or post workout.

Drunk a few bottles of this during a day tour of St. Vincent. Pale gold colour, quite light, a bit grainy. Drinkable, did its job in the hot sun, and certainly not the worst I drank in the Caribbean.

Bottle at Chriso Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting, 31/03/13 cheers to Rilester for lugging this one back to me from his cricket tour. Clear pale yellow with a washed out look about it, thin white head that clears to the edge. Nose is pale malt, ashtrays, grain, citrus. Taste comprises pale malts, bland aspartamic sugars, pissy. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Strange old badger this one ... low grade lager with a cigarrete butt dipped in it !

Bottle on the beach in Barbados. Had this dirrectly after the Piton, literally within 30 seconds of finishing the Piton, this had the edge and was the best of teh 2 evils, more flavour, still just a bog standard lager

Grainy with a bit of citrus zest and a subdued skunkiness that is not readily apparent. Overall average but boring a little bit.

bottle@Hoboken#1-thanks puzzl–pours a dissipating ? head and pale straw color. Aroma is skunk (no not like Eurolager, but the animal), wet cardboard, lime. Taste is average, which was a nice surprise after the aroma, grain, lime.

After trying decaturstevo’s Piton at the April Get Together, I thought it would be all uphill from there; but I sure got fooled! Pours a very very pale yellow with a thin, fleeting, white head. Sour acidic grainy vegetal aroma. Just offensively bad. Sour acidic tart flavor with a wet cardboard aftertaste . Thin. Very poor.

Bottled in 2003. The palest yellow ever seen in a beer, minimal head. Some malt, light body, clean mouthfeel, low bitterness.
