Great duo of Polish hops here delivering notes of pineapple and apricot, citrusy blood orange and lime, light coconut accents, sweet malts with a nice mouthfeel, also getting some of the Amora infused subtle blackberry into the hoppy close. Lovely.

Difficultly building up cream-tan head over virtually black beer. Coffee, pine, resin, smoked ham or dry sausage. Pine kernels, cypress, spruce. Sweet and resiny, finish reveals drier roast, charcoal, roasted chestnut and of course spruce. Chewy, rounded, good carbonation. Very slick-oily. Nice - and quite original. Like it!

Can at De Markies, Leeuwarden. A bit sweeter than I like my Westie. But has a nice bitterness as well. Tropical, orange, grapefruit. Long bittersweet finish.
