Medium sweetie with notes of baking cocoa, scorched marshmallow, earth, dried berries, chocolate. Medium to full oxide with average carbonation. Lightly chewy. Warming finish with more dark chocolate, good roast, scorched earth and vanilla. Solid.

Medium to heavy sweet flavour with rich baking coco character, dried dark fruits, scorched earth bitterness. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Hearty bitter dark chocolate in the finish, lots of ashy roast, earth, old leather. Good hearty boosty dark sauce.

Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more melon and tangerine, bitter grass. Not bad.

Keg at jabeerwocky. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting frorhy white head. Aroma is sweet orange, dank tangerine, juicy, oats and wheat. Flavour is composed of semi sweet bready wheaty grains, oats, juicy tangerine, mango,. Palate is rounded grains, juicy highish carbonation. Pretty good.,

Taste is smooth, lightly sour with a pleasant smoky character, black tea, a touch of cheese. Expected a defined hoppy edge from the ’American’ prefix, but was absent. Still, a very good example of the style.
